Has anyone investigated letterboxes along the blue trails in
Connecticut? I was just wondering if there are letterboxes near
most trailheads. Has anyone used the CT Blue Trail system as a
theme for placing letterboxes?

Reply about CT Blue Trails. Yes, Keven, there are many boxes on the
blue trails in CT. Some hikes are longer than others, but some also
are close to trail heads. Get a blue book and cross reference in the
towns you want to lettebox. You can also ask off line to many 'busy'
boxers as many of us know the Blue Trails well. I will be happy to help

I have been to letterboxes that have been on Ct. blue trails, the Burr Pond
series comes to mind, but none dedicated to the trail system itself. Nice idea
though.

The LBs are not identified specifically as being located on the Blue Trail, but more likely by the town and the section of the trail involved.
We just recently planted 3 on the Metacomet in Tariffville.

Patrick and Amy's "EMS Stands for Emergency Medical Services" series
is on a lovely blue trail in Preston. I would suggest waiting a short
while as this series will be expanding as soon as I get off my... ya
know.. and go plant 2-3 more with Patrick!

Is there some kind of index to boxes, that people create? If I wanted
to create an index theme guide like CT Bluetrails letterboxes, is
there some kind of rule against that if I provide full credit, and
un-changed clue instructions?
I saw something similar with the list of top 100 oldest boxes. (at
least I think that was the guide)

I think it would be interesting and informative to see what themes
you could come up with. You could post a list of boxes that share a
common theme. If you include just a link to the box clues in your
list, then the planters could update the clues on the main database
as needed. You would not have to change your list, except if the
box was removed.
